Best factory restoration books/reference

So while I'm enjoying my Barracuda, I'm thinking about what direction I want to go with it.
And I guess what I mean by that is I am a big believer in build what you enjoy (otherwise what's the point? )
I have a big block 4 speed Challenger that I have no reservations about what changes or upgrades I make to any aspect of the car.
But I feel like with the Barracuda, even though I realize there is nothing numbers/investment wise of significant value, I want to keep or improve the cars originality.

A little back story is that the car is 1967 273 auto trans Barracuda.
I've read the casting numbers on the block, is a late 66 block (I need to get the power steering pump out of the way to confirm machine date ), the fender tag decodes as being ordered January 6 ( which is cool as my B-day is only a couple of days later )
The dash, interior and all of the colors appear to be correct.
Heck the car still has the original Certi-Card.
So I earlier this year rebuilt the BBD carb and thought maybe I should and kind of want to continue getting the car correct.
While I have many of the correct large items in/with my car, things like hoses, the battery and cables are not correct. Someone even went and painted the engine orange, so I have a few things to work out.

So my long story has brought us here, what would you recommend for reference information?

there were a series of books directed toward the resto things that came out what? 1012 years ago. I never bought any, but people said they contained LOTS of misinformation.
you are probably NOT looking for a NOS parts type resto I assume. just having as original and factory correct as is logical. but remember, as you get away from the mainstream model peole do the high end factory style resto on, your selection of repo ( correct too) diminishes.
the most v aluable thing you can have is a "true survivor" to gain a lot of knowledge from. a " helpful" owner of a correctly factory resto is invaluable. a correct engine department is your biggest thing. finding out what shade of black for your ps, r ad, brackets, color of hoses ( yes people buy stencils to apply ( correct) letters numbers dates),, you can clean those bolts, screws that hold on the firewall things, like ballast resistor, vr, etc and have them plated ( $$$) or sraaay them a color that will look correct to most lookers.
your factory paint charts should give the PPG paint codes for all the interior trim. the shades of color ( be it black, gold, what have ya) the factory had several different shades. paint int trim all the same color and it will NOT look right. ( umless ya a racer gong down the track 120 mph) LOL
there are guys like say Tony'S that has sold parts as a full time business for 30 years. a call to this type ender will let ya know supplier for a certain original style part if he doesn't have it. I've seen factory correct repop pos battery cables sell for what I call " excessive". fortunately, I won't break the bank to get engine department lookin pretty factory correct.
paint. the big resto guys use factory style painting. orange peel enamel, runs in engine department, sloopy undercoat in there etc....
like we all say, do your car as you want it, you have to satisfy NOONE else!!!
