3/8 mile circle track mid/high RPM. 360 cubes 2bbl rochester (rules). rules allow weiand stealth 8022 or edel performer 2176. genuine EQ mag heads. which intake should I go with? thank you for your time. RR

I wonder how an early, non EGR 360 two barrel dual plane would stack up? I had a friend that did some limited rules dirt stuff back in the day. We did a lot of business through Hughes. I still do. Anyway, Dave said that the Imperial intake was about the best iron intake. The throttle body mounting holes were a weird pattern, but, you could redrill to fit your carb. Thus, position said carb "where you wanted it". I had one of those Imperial intakes. They were fairly tall.

Between a Weiand and Edelbrock? Weiand!
But the only way to really know is test both.

The Stealth's runners are kinda wishy-washy out of the box. Even so, I'd prefer that over the Eddy. If you did some "stealth" porting to that Stealth manifold.....

I didn't know either one came in the Magnum bolt pattern. Did you redrill your heads? Or score a pair of the old 318As with LA pattern?

Actually that is what is on the eng now. I'm thinking that in 2022 that only the 2 alum intakes are legal. I will reread the rules

Edelbrock performer port matched to 360 intake gaskets is supposedly worth a little more power than a good factory iron four barrel intake. If the rules allow the factory iron four barrel intake and you have access to a 1971 340 intake, it would be as good as anything else listed.

a 6200 RPM limiter chip is required. I'd like to stay in the high 5k's
I think the chip is for the crate engine, unless the rules have changed recently.
that said the weiand 8022 is the best actually had better all around preformance than the X-cellerator did. and its al least 20 lbs lighter than a cast iron intake.

I did a USRA 360 Stock Car engine for a kid a couple years ago. Nothing stupid. Shelf parts. We dynoed this engine with both the 8022, then the 7545. Gained absolutely ZERO above 3800. Had the good the CH318B heads. Made peak torque at 4700, max power at 6000. Torture was 430, power was 447.
