Big Block Duster w/2" tube headers: Best solution to avoid burning plugs?

`71 Duster w/BB 440, have 2 in. tube headers to install. Previous car owner had trouble w/ headers burning out the standard length plugs (tubes too close, tight fit in there!) so the stocks are back in. Much thanks for any help here.

I ran these on my BB Scamp with Herb McCandles headers, They were very close to the plugs and would burn the silcone boots up. Say they are not for electronic ignitions but I ran a MSD 7AL and a Mallory uni-lite with no problems.

I run the heat sleeves on mine. Ive been running the same set of wires now for 10 years. Moroso Ultra 40s btw.

if you are taking about the plug wires. i ran mine under the headers from the front.
then the wires are nowhere near the hot pipes. but i have fenderwell headers on mine.

thats the proper way to put wires on a bigblock anyway
