Back to topic. I had a metal fabrication business until I retired in 2000. Large sand blast room,30x50. Blasted a lot of cars and parts. The trick is not to hold the gun straight on, but on an angle. That maybe difficult to do in a cabinet, and yes I used sand as my preferred media. Never warped a panel.
