Block bore 318 years 80-83

I have stroker pistons 3.940 (.030 overs.) pistons and year 80-83 block but i'm wondering, can i bore that block .030 oversize. Is that thick enough. Experiences??? Machine shop sonic test that block and it's ok, but they don't have equipments to measure those cylinders bores.

That will be safe. 318s are good for at least .060" overbore before you have problems. Think I'd find another machine shop that has a bore gauge though.
