body color rims

When your A body got color coded rims from factory.Were the only painted on front side of rim or whole rim? also what clear would be close to a factory look. semi gloss or hi gloss.thanks

They were body color so most likely same paint. Acrylic enamel in 60's.
Cars with wheel covers had black wheels. So logically they used standard black wheels and face painted the front to match the body.
Time was money so they weren't going to spend a lot of time on this with meticulous masking either.
 
My 70 RR came with body color on the outside and black inside.
 
I don't have a 426 hemi,but do have a 68 dodge dart.
From what I understand up until 70 the wheels were painted body color on both sides, then it was body color on the outside, black on the inside. My new 69 cuda 340 had both sides painted B5, but ya never know with Ma MoPar.
