bolts and nuts

Good morning, quick question for you guys... what does everyone do with the suspension bolts to keep them looking good and prevent them from rusting after the restoration. I degreased and then I soaked all my suspension bolts in evaporust, they come out looking clean but im looking for a factory fresh look with some weather protection, it looks like they were originally black in color, any suggestions besides painting them? i have access to a local company that will do a black oxide coating on them but he says that its not a very good rust preventive. i was thinking about doing that and then spray them with Boeshield to protect them... any thoughts?... rich
