Are there any books available on how to overhaul the 904/998 torqueflite tranny? I know there is one on the 727 but I need one for the 904. Thanks.

The factory service manual is the best, after that I'd go with an ATSG manual. Actually, the ATSG manual has some advantages. First, its about $25, second its available as a PDF from ATSG. For $25, if you check the "hard copy" option, you can get both a paper manual and a pdf.
