Could someone please explain the difference between a normal fuel pump and a boost referenced fuel pump.

Thanks in advance,
Chris

well, it's basically a fuel pump that increases pressure as boost increases, however you would usually be talking about a boost referenced regulator.
From my understanding, a mechanical pump can be referenced by pressurizing the back side of the pump diaphragm, but only up to a certain point.
An electric pump can use a referenced regulator that holds the relief valve shut based on how much pressure it sees from the boost source.
