Just got a call from my son Cody at Marine Corps boot camp at Parris Island, he has made it through the crucible and is now a Marine. I am sooooo proud of him.

He's had a rough go of it, developed a stress fracture with about 4 weeks to go and was put in a medical platoon. But he's hung in there, healed up, finished his training, and passed/survived the crucible. And I get to see him on Thursday.

It's been a good day....

Awesome! I went to san diego but due to a hip condition they said i had i didnt get to go up to the crucible. I was in a seperation platoon similar to the med hold platoon. Its a good/bad place to be. You get to heal up but at the same time all your new friends are graduating without you. Semper fi!

Congratulations! Just in time for Veteran's Day...

I'm a former Marine, and I can tell you that your son is now a member of the Elite Warriors. You should be proud of him, and yourself. You must have raised him right. Semper Fi!
