bought a 340 today with no month on the casting date

well i scored a running 72 340 steel crank motor today. but all it has for a casting date is 25 72 im wondering if this would be a january build since that could just mean 25th day of 1972. any ideas?? here are the best pics i could get of it. and im pretty sure it has a steel crank since it doesnt have that funny offset thing on the crank damper that says for 340 cast crank use. ill know for sure when i pull the pan to check it out internally before putting in my valiant. anyone have an idea why the month isnt cast into the date??

Post the vin on the block, might be someone's original block. Then sell it to them and buy a late 80s/early 90s LA 360 roller block.
