I don't need a "full wheelchair," more like a scooter. But most of those are junk on 3 tiny wheels, not suitable for rough "lawns." This is a huge heavy Permobil with a seating problem (I don't know yet what all it has, AKA lift, recline, tilt, etc, but an error prevents the chair from moving. If I can do nothing else, I'll either rewire the seating for manual switches, and replace the drive module with one of one of the old invacare that I have. "We'll see." Seller at the last minute also tossed in a motorized rear ramp which plugs into the hitch receiver. Family up in my home town, it turns out the youngsters dad is the guy I bought my old Landcruiser from in the 70's. The chair belonged to his wife's dad, who is similar to me, only a few years on. I am 77, he is 83. The VA would not fix this chair because he had another that worked. 250 bucks for the whole mess

Are you going to hop it up.
Getting the software/ programmer/ programming hardware dongle "may" be a problem.

I got it running, but unfortunately I do not know what I "did." I found a cheat sheet on the joystick functions, turns out the seat has elevate, recline, tilt, and adjustment for the leg rests. I ran all that **** up and down throughout it's ranges a few times. The "freewheel" handles, turns out also disconnects the brakes, which was an error. Might be they are dirty. I disconnected the motors and brakes, and push/ pulled the connectors in/ out a few times. These are similar to what we used, AKA various forms of what are called "power pole" connectors. There is a BUNCH of different styles and power handling on those. Anyhow, got the seat back down, and with a lot of trouble, ran it off the porch into the house. I DAMN near ran it off the porch the wrong way

Notice that this is what is called a "mid drive." I don't like them. AKA I have a big bump where the doorsill is above the porch. Even with a plywood "ramp" what happens is the transision onto the ramp causes the drive tires to lose traction.

This thing weighs over 450lbs, by the way, with two group 24 lead acid gel cells.

Lordy. I wonder how much lighter lithium ion batrees would make it?

I`d suspend my pushmower out front and use it as a riding lawnmower:p
I don`t think Dell needs any lithium, ignite at any time, fire starter.

The chairs we built could use either group 24 or 27 lead acid gel cells or one huge LiFePO4 and I made the mistake of carrying one (after the super replaced the management package, which requires a huge soldering iron and connecting things LIVE) --carrying one down the stairs. I NEVER did that again. Not sure what they are called for size, but they are heavy sons a bitches. They have incredible power. They are supposed to have a 50 mile range, and long before I worked there, and they started with them, one of the guys actually tried to ride a chair 50 miles for a proof demo

By the way you CAN NOT take a chair on an aircraft if it has Li batteries.

It just needs more power!
Like a Harley engine so just get ahold of Tim Allen he can fix it… lol
