I found a real nice pair of 11 x 2.5 plates with all the hardware and riveted shoes..pulled the cover on the 8 1/4 theywere on removed the thrust rod bolt and they are mine...found a nice 10 x 2.5 pair on a new yorker 8 1/4 rear and pulled the cover went to remove the bolt in the thrust rod and only a 3/8 in or so came out leaving the thrust rod bolt still in and the brakes still there...couldnt remove the axles..so what went wrong...do the bolts on these break so you cant remove the axles with out some serious surgery..id like to go back and get these brakes but i dont know how to attack it...help please...j
