Brake Ideas?

If I drill my 8 3/4 rear axles from small bolt to big bolt what brake options does that leave me? Can I bolt any rear 10" brakes from a big bolt using the drums, backing plates and hardware from a doner car. Can I use rear disc brakes from 98 jeep chorokee with drilled axles?

I also have heard that you can get blank discs or use the factory discs and have the drilled for small bolt for the front using the upper a-arms and spindles from a 73 and up. Therefore keeping the small bolt pattern. Does this sound like it will work? 73 and up brakes drilled to small bolt and keep the small bolt pattern. Saw this on slantsix.org. If it works it might be cheaper tha new axles for the rear...

Most people want bbp,better and easier selection of rims!Down the road you might want bigger rims,you,ll have to pay large$$for sbp!Go big or stay home!LOL!Roman you know I,ve had my share of swapping brakes,axels to LBP,there is a reason.My 2 cents.
