anybody know what color the brake light switch wire is suppose to be on a 1967 dart, cant get power to the switch all other lights are workingbut ive had the car appart for two years(there is a pink wire and a white wire in the harness , ithink 1 went to the brake switch and 1 went to theclutch maybe saftey nutrel switch)any help will be appreciated

According to this link to a schematic of your car a pink and white wire both go to the brake light switch. Any wire for the neutral switch should be brown.

The stop light switch is about 2/3 of the way down on the left hand side of the schematic.

The schematic loads up real small at first so you will probably need to enlarge it to see it good. All you have to do to enlarge it is click on it.

thank you fishy , my car only has 1 terminal in the middle of the switch ,maybe someone has put the wrong switch in pryer to me getting the car, ive never driven the car so im not sure if they ever worked

There are one wires switches somewhat related... the one on the park brake mechanism is one one and the one for low fluid at perportion valve is one wire. The switch at the brake pedal should be 2 wires. Pink is power in and off white is power out and goes on and up the column to the turn signal switch.

drgrcr it's also possible that's the right switch but someone broke off one of the terminals so it looks like a one wire switch. In any case it sounds like you need a new switch.

As a test you can try temporarily touching the pink and white wires together and see if that activates the brake lights.

thanks to all that replied ,i found a ground pole on the back side of thr switch ,it was blocked by the mounting bracket, pluged the white wire to that and ive got brake lights, thanks again8)
