The brake lines coming off the master cylinder have some rust and dirt and need cleaned up. I've tried a couple things, but nothing seems to really clean them up.

I really don't want to replace them. Any ideas.....what works?? Thanks in advance.

This is what I'm using to clean up the crusty lines on the Duster

I would clean them by hand before I got the wire wheel after the, maybe. use some coarse sandpaper, red scotch brite, a good cleaner/degreaser. but remember these lines are small and maybe original and OLD!! careful with the wire wheel!! you can buy brake line tubing at any good auto parts store. if you have to cut and change ends you needs a good double flare tool or borrow it from auto parts store.
a repop co. like inline tube can sell you OEM style prebent tubes for your car. entire lines or parts thereof. fairly inexpensive.

good brakes are the first thing to consider on our old cars! right??
