'I have a 1965 Barracuda that has been in the family since new. It is a West Texas car that belonged to my parents and was dragged on weekends. Dad had several bracket ET records set in the mid to late sixties and Amarillo Dragway. The car went though a mild restoration about 25 years ago but then my parents went through a divorce. Long story short I wound up with the car and legally it belongs to my daughter thru the divorce decree.
What I am interested in is possibly making a track style road race car for the street. Upgrades in the front and rear suspension for proper handling. I started working for a living as a mechanic in 1987 and up until 11 years ago I did it as a living. I now work for CSX railroad as a conductor and engineer.
Any suggestion in companies to use for parts and upgrades? Im figuring a budget of around $12k just in suspension for front and rear. I have a Chris Alston's rear 9" with axles.

Kool..any pictures of the car..maybe when your dad raced it ?

Welcome to the site.
