Well i just tried two sets of leds in my 69 bcuda tail, and niether of them did any difference from stock.
Could not cross over Dans #., so i tried pilot # 1157, and Jam straight 1157. Niether one would work as a blinker, or brake light.
As a tail light only they were hardly any brighter than stock 1157s. hopefully I can return them as the guy at Oriellys said.
Just my 02.

No, I left the stock one in and was surprised that it works the same. The Philips bulbs are the way to go. It's a two minute install. I also added a Summit Racing LED dome light to my roll bar because the convertibles just have lights that shine on the floor. Now I can see inside the car at night.

if you use the Phillips 12899rx2 bulbs do you need to use a special flasher ??
