My brother is having issues with his car
07 chevy cobalt. 2.2 liter 4cyl auto.

If the head is cracked would that cause antifreeze to go into the block?
Would a blown head gasket cause antifreeze to go into the block as well??

Filled antifreeze and would check in about a month and then the antifreeze would be low.

blue smoke in exhaust, antifreeze on dipstick, heat of engine is at 265 in red and a swishing sound in dash when stopping/acceleration.

Also he needs to know the torque spec for the Head bolts and what sequence to take them out and to put the new ones in. How to remove timing chain.

Will need help when putting back together, will this affect his timing?
If you can help please send your phone number to me in a PM.

Might be cheaper to buy a bone yard motor and swap the while thing last head I bought for a 2.2w.ws $1600

Just by general instinct, yes on 1 and 2. DRAIN ALL FLUIDS! Have the head pressues checkek,by a head shop, you trust. The head shop should give you torque specs as service. If not ,demand it,before you pay the bill.
