Ok seats are all redone now the backs need redoing...
Amazing just how yellow they look once you put them against new White Vinyl.
So whats everyone using for paint products ?
Sandpaper / Scotchbrite or Steelwool what do you think would work best ?

I use Dupont vinyl paint. I believe the seat backs should be medium gloss IIRC. You must get them very clean, not a trace of vinyl protectant or any other contamination. I generally spray with 'whitewall cleaner', scrub well with a brush and soapy water, then scuff with a scotchbrite pad and soapy water, then rinse and let dry. Don't use solvent to clean them.

I also use the vinyl paint and it sticks well. The plastic seat backs I have got a little punky from sitting in the junkyard for 25 years and had some bad gouges in them. I sanded them and used a small amount of filler on them. Stock ones had a pebble finish on them and mine are smooth but hold paint well and are OK till I find a real good set.
