Bucket seats

can anyone confirm, I’m planning on buying bucket seats out of a duster, owner told me they are foam backs and that no one makes new foam for foam back seats anymore, his are in nice shape! I have a 71 dart swinger, what seat frames shoul I be buying for my car and should I be buying spring back seats? Thanks guys

All '71s had spring baskets in the seat backs.

That stopped for '72 up due to the new foam style.

There are early & late type 1971 seat backs also...........

If you're looking for the high back bucket seats the upper spring frame and lower frame can be used from a 70-71 A, B and E body. The only difference will be you will need the specific vinyl pattern and the foam for your make and model. Your seat tracks are model specific also.

The 1970 & early 1971 buckets with the removable hinge covers are worth more than the late 1971 style with the full backs with hinge covers molded in.
