Looking for ideas on bucket seats for ‘67 A Body car.

I may have to convert from column shift to floor shifter and seeing nice seats are hard to find.

Any suggestions for decent seats?

Any aftermarket available, I’ve searched some.

Or is there a company that specializes in oem interior that has reproduction or something else?

Thanks in advance

I put a pair from an early 2000s Dakota club cab in my 75 Dart Sport. Fit wasn't too bad and they were pretty comfortable with the reclining backs. I went with the club cab seats because of course they flip forward to allow rear seat access, and the passenger side will also automatically move forward, making even more room to get in and out of the back.

You could throw a want ad up and see if someone has a core set to work from. Then it's just how much labor you want to take on if the tracks and structure are intact.

If you aren't fixed on year correct then that opens up opportunities. Late 60s Car or Van

Need a little help here- give us an idea of what you're looking for?
Something similar to factory? Low back? High back?
One piece headrests/separate headrests?
Something like the A100 LO/BO buckets?
Eighteen-way adjustable gee whiz seats with bun warmers and built in back massagers?

Thanks for the replies, I appreciate it.

Missing linc, do you have any photos? Thank you.

Thanks WV, I’ll take a look at these.
A company called Procar has some really nice seats. A friend of mine put some in his 67 Coronet and he loved them.

Thank you, I’ll look at these also.

You all have a great evening

I made this post waiting to punch out at the time clock so I didn’t have a lot of time.

I would like to keep the interior as much oem as possible. It’s all original and in almost perfect condition now. But, if I can’t find that, something similar will work.

Don’t need power or heated anything, manual brakes and steering, I like simple.

Thanks professor

These are the seats that were in my Duster when I bought it. I believe the brand is Corbeau. You can find them in the Classic Ind's catalog. I did have the centers changed from red to silver. Never been a fan of red interiors. Very comfortable I might add.

Heaps of aftermarket options, thats the direction i am going and much firmer and nicer to sit in than old buckets where you sink in them like an old couch.

Sometimes (Most of the time, to me really) high back buckets just don't look right is older A Body cars except Dusters & the like.

you may find mopar seats that can do the job

standard mopar buckets/ fixed back or 2 door style and recline, used in a range of cars will fit an A body
my own aussie one uses the same seat frames as a 68/69 B body with the LL shaped rails orientated appropriately on the base of the seat to fit the car floor pan holes

i re did my seats here

the trials and tribulations of re foaming and reskinning two seats

id never done anything like it and made my way by making it up as i went along

Results better than expected

This is something I’m concerned about, it’s a Barracuda and I would like to keep the oem look as much as possible.
I agree the Dusters look great with high back seats.

Wow, that’s a lot of work. I don’t have this much time available for this right now as I’m installing a new engine and transmission along with a few other mods.
Thanks for this info, I appreciate it.

well you might find the seat from a mazda mx5/eunos roadster/MX-5 Miata are a nice option.
1) narrow semi bucket
2) some made in leather
3) seat back comes forward and can be reclined to near bed like extent

in the UK cost second hand anything for £50 - £600 (for a fully trimmed restored pair)

early cars 1989- 1994 onwards are at the bottom of the value curve, rust belt states should have junk yard cars if you can stand the shipping. corrosion gets them, UV kills the soft tops even in the UK, and their water pump fails at 65K miles
