Building the 74 Scamp

Well, here's the beginning;. I have gone through the rear brakes and replaced everything, refurbished parts that don't come with the hardware kits. A little silly it may seem to some but I like it, and it's quality work with heat resistant ceramic enhanced paint. Prep work was extremely tedious but I'm retired and ain't got no excuses, and I'm patient. The fender wells were nice and clean,(no chunks missing in the coating and no rust, so I cleaned them up properly and re-coated. The car is going to be Plum Purple and black so you get the color scheme here. I'm currently working on the transmission, had a shifter linkage seal leaking like crazy. I'm still looking for wheels, preferably cragar (y'all know)..

It's crazy how much hard work goes into those few photos. Non car people just don't get it. Keep it up!

Days, yep, laying under it hand scraping and cleaning, sanding, lacquer wiping...... probably could have dropped the rear end assembly all together and done it a little easier, but unfortunately I'm not set up yet to do it on my property,(still working on getting the shop built), but, living in town I can't tear it down to that level in the driveway...so I do it another way, the hard way... lol..but really it's very rewarding to see the end result before you even start...thanks for comments.

I'm in for some reading tonight as I gotta find out how to and find parts to repair the seal here on the Scamp's A904... any knowledge will be welcomed kindly, any links would be amazing too...I plan to read, read, read tonight because I know there's some info on this forum about it...thanks y'all...
