I'm trying to avoid buying tires twice. I want to eventually convert to bbp discs, but I need tires NOW. It seems like adding discs adds 3/8 to the track width, and many people seem to be running 3/8 spacers with Bullitt wheels to clear the tie rod. That is only 1/4 of an inch from the 1" adapter I would need to make these wheels work now. So that would put me at 17x8 with 4.72 backspacing. Would this work on a 1968 Dart? I was hoping for 245/45/17, but I could do 225/45/17 if the .7 reduction in tire diameter would help?
