One of the best ever to grab a steering wheel, Parnelli Jones passed today at 90 years old. Growing up in SoCal and listening to the Indy 500 radio broadcasts (before the television race coverage) and seeing all sorts of racing, he was one of my favorites.

One of them I saw in the tech area in the desert, Bill Stroppe had built the big high intensity driving lights into the leading edge of Oly's wing. They would pop up just like a Superbird
