My 1973 Duster has the Space Duster C73 fender tag code, with the fold down rear seat and fold down door to the trunk. Today I finally got around to doing a complete clean out of the trunk, getting rid of all the junk I've been accumulating there. I finally got a good look at the trunk dress up package I'd seen parts of. It has a black carpet in good shape, I took it out and shook it out well. The insides of the quarter panels and the taillight panel have cardboard trim pieces all over them, as well as 2 panels riveted to the floor. The trunk extensions aren't rusty underneath, so I don't think this is any sort of repair job. Here are some photos.

It looks the same, I just put the spare tire and black carpet back in after the photos were taken. It is a thin lightweight carpet but is in good condition.

I don't recognize the 2 plates on the trunk floor.
That, you think is stock?
I have a fold down seat also.
Carpet on the wheel houses and the plastic cover on the taillights.
It looks like carpet was glued at some time on the back sides of the quarters, but gone now.

I agree, what are those two large rectangular plates on the trunk floor on each side of the spare tire well? What’s on the underside of the trunk floor (any pics from below the car)?

Spray bomb black does a decent job of concealing sins.

Here's pics of my 73 fold down seat with the same package, your floor patches are not stock and it looks like the rear upright braces have been butchered. It used to have a cardboard cover over the rear lights like yours but had black carpet over the fenderwells and the inner quarters.

Mine does not have the plates either
My Fold Down Seat Trunk Pictures
I have lots of other pictures on a disk but have to find it.
My car very late 1973 build (last of the 340) has differences from a club members car. Both 1973 (his early build date 318 car low mile survivor) the cover on his jack in his is soft plastic and mine was hard (ABS)
His rear tail lamp cover was hard ABS plastic like mine no tcardboard type.
Not sure if later year cars got cardboard.
His car had chrome with rubber bumper guards and mine are (were all rubber)
Maybe different assembly plant or different supplier. Nothing stopped the line from rolling.
My car was very orginal when I got it.
Bought new by local in New Orleans'. He drives untill he passed away,. His wife then drove it till to old to drive. The son then sold it to a guy I knew. Car remained untouched with the exception of one repaint (under hood, inside trunk, and jamb still were original paint untouched) only a quick scuff and shoot to outside and wheels swapped when I got it from him.

Mine is a 76 Dart Sport Lite.
It is far from original or well taken care of.
Mine has C73 on the fender tag, fold down rear seat.
The 76 Brochure says, Fold-Down rear seat, security panel and carpeted trunk dress-up.
Also there is an Overdrive Decor Package. (Dart Sport with Lite Fuel Economy Package)
Trunk mat and spare tire cover, bumper fillers, Rear wheelhouse deadener, wheel-lip mouldings.
Here are my trunk pictures, hard ABS tail light cover and jack area.

Here's 4 photos of mine from underneath, a front half and a rear half photo of each side. I didn't see any obvious rust damage or repair, likely the previous owner / car improver went a little overboard on preparing the car for something that ended up never happening. In the photos you can see the pop rivets holding down the plates. Not sure if they are metal or plastic, didn't dig into them.

my '76 has heavy die cut felt pieces on the wheelwells, felt glued to the inside of the quarters, black carpet, and what looks like a vacuum formed polypropylene or ABS panel snapped/screwed over the taillights, and a snap on polypropylene/ABS cover on the jack just like 340_six's
