Are there any other "Toad" lovers out there. I'd like to find some other crazies who like the bulldog(a front end only a Mother could love) of the Mopar world, the early 60's Valiants and Lancers. We are a parculiar breed. We like a car for what it is and does not for how it looks. These cars set the tone for the pony and muscle cars to come. The Lancer was the first small Mopar to be badged a GT. The NASCAR versions ate up the Blue Ovals and Bowties during their short run on the circuit. These were "neat" little cars and deserve more than a footnote in a Mopar History. Anybody else remember the "Toad" with fondness, let me know. If you had one today you wouldn't believe the stares and the questions they produce just pulling into a parking lot. They were only around 3 years yet are some of the most distinctive cars Mopar ever put out.
