I know this is not the place for this but I trust you folks.

I'm building a big block with mechanical Enderle injection and would like to hear your folks thousts on fuel pump drive.

I'm not sure fuel heat will be a huge issue as this motor will be run with no body.

It will see some street driving. ;)

Thanks for all the time and advice.

I run a couple of injected mopars. Mechanical injection with cam driven pumps. Very reliable. Never had a belt drive but I dont see how it could be as dependable what with belt, pulleys, mounting brackets and adjustments to be made. Plus cam drive makes running fuel lines neat and simple. Be sure your fuel pump is set up with the correct rotation for your choice of drive. Info can be hard to come by so if you have any questions just ask. And have fun!

Thanks Hangnout.

Do u have any issues with boiling fuel?

I have heard some folks have issues with the heat transfer of a cam drive fuel pump.

Thanks again and I'm sure I will have lots of questions about setting up the injection in a few weeks.

Dropped the heads and block off at the machine shop this morning!!

No,as long as your not running your return lines back to a tiny tank, say 1 or 2 gallon capacity. Of more concern I think is placement of the return lines to the fuel tank. At idle a high percentage of the fuel is returned to the tank. It is easy to aerate the fuel in the tank leading to a lean condition. This could be confused with overheated fuel.

Hangnout, Thank you.

Are you running two tanks?

We plan on running a 5 gal rear tank and a small front surge/float tank.

I can't thank you enough and I'll try not to ask to many stupid questions.

It's a Model T.
500 Ci. Chevy BB
13-1

Gonna run vintage 1/8 th mile at Eagle field Ca.

I know it's not a MOPAR but I trust you folks.

Thanks again for the time and advice.

I run the bantam in my avatar. Also have 2 23t's. Center steer altereds. Blown 426 on alcohol powers one and surprise, surprise, 500+ci big block chevy in the other. The chevy runs hilborn stack injection, also on alcohol. The bantam burns gas. Where is eagle field more or less?
