The #s on the end are 911973. I has some purple paint on it. Would you know the specs on it or know where to point me to find em. It's out of a 440. Thanks
Bill

If no one is able to figure out the number you gave - try the following.

Set up a couple of wooden V pads for the cam bearings to sit in on either end. Bolt cam timing wheel on one end with a stable pointer. Setup a .500" travel dial indicator to ride on the intake lobe of #1 or any intake lobe for that matter.

Find the baseline of the cam lobe - zero lift, note the dial indicator reading. Rotate the cam until lift starts, note the degree wheel reading, rotate the cam until full lift is achieved, note the amount of lift and degrees, continue to rotate the cam until its back to the baseline, note the degree wheel reading.

take the lift max reading and multiply by 1.5 = valve lift.

subtract the two degree wheel readings where lift started and ended, multiply by two, you then have the intake duration. The point at which max lift occurred should be the cam centerline, but you'll have no reference points to determine the actual degree.

Do the same on the exhaust lobe and you'll have the timing events.

Keep in mind that the measurements you'll get are going to be somewhat inaccurate but at least you can then have some idea what the thing is. If its a purple shaft you can probably id it from comparing the results to a mopar cam profile list.
