ok another cam question....i am building up a 318 zero decked 9.5 -10.0/1 compressionported heads, perfomance intake, holley, msd, etc...
regeared the rear end to 3.55 with a sure grip. have a 904 with close ratio 1st gear set, upgraded 4 pinon planetary.. with hwy lock up for freeway use stock converter ( the street is the 1-2 and mabye 3 if you get into it, right?)
ok question is i have a mopar performance purple resto cam kit p4452782 in my garage never used... 268-276 .429/.44 centerline 114; idle-5800rpm they state...i have heard the xe268 from comp with flowmaster 40's and sounds real mean... and heard people like it... i do have p/b.. and a/c.. wanting to know if anyone has compared the two cams? i have never heard a STOCK 340 4-spd cam before.. all you tube videos have stated number matching 340 enigne, but all state in build ups as a aftermarket cam or upgraded higher lift purple cam... anyone seen or head the differance, this is a street car(hot) street car... with custom exhuast built myself... looks like it came right out of the 70's.....also running 24/60/14 tires @26" if matters... any info before i cam this thing.....any thoughts?

The 340 4 speed cam and the resto 340 cam you have are two different cams. The 4 speed cam was a little hotter. If I had the choice to make I would choose the 340 cam. 1, you already have it and 2, it's hard to beat.
