I have a 65 Dart with a slant 6 and cable operated column shift. I want to put a floor shifter in it and have a cable floor shift setup and a floor shift steering column but I also have a nice 904 that uses a normal, non trunion style rear section. I want to fix this car up as $ allows for my son for when he graduates college. I have done tons of work to it and would like to get away from the current style trans/drive shaft. Is there a way to adapt a cable shifter to a linkage style transmission?
Thanks-Howard

There are tons of after market shifters for automatics, all use a cable and have bracket to adapt.
