Can anyone identify this inline 6?

Trying to figure out what engine this is:

Any help is appreciated. I figure that there are more of you who are much more knowledgeable about different engines, regardless of make, than myself.

Looks like a Bowtie 6, either 230 or 250 inches.

The vehicle looks like a Jeep Commando. If it is then the 6 would have been swapped in, Commandos came with the 225 V6 that Kaiser bought from Buick.

Looks like an AMC in a Jeep. Either a 232 or a 258 depending on the year. These things were almost as indestructible as a slant 6. Hope this helps.

If it helps it is actually in a willys wagon, that much I do know.

Hmm.. okay so it is either a chebby or amc.

Looks like an AMC to me. Do you have a pic of the other side?
