I have a /6 with 8 1/4" rear.

I'm going to be using a 360/904 tranny with the same 8 1/4 rear.

Can I keep the drive shaft that I have or will it need to be shortened?

Thanks!

I think the V8 driveline is more heavy duty then the 6cyl. one. If it was a 904 car and your keeping it 904 they might be the same length.

Driveshaft length will be fine. I've run across two different driveshaft diameters. The smaller has a circumference of 8.6" (2.75" diameter) and is the stronger of the two. The other is 9.4" in circumference (3" diameter) and was used on the smaller of the two /6.
