Can I run a 215 tire in front with a 3 1/2" back space?

Right now I have 235 14's and they are to big.
I wanted to go 205's but the Cooper don't make those, and that is what I have in the rear. I'd like to have the same tires. So I can only go with 215's.

The rims I have in front are also 7 1/2" wide. I am getting 6" wide ones with the same backspace. I think that should work?

I sure like the 7 1/2 ones though. They look nice and deep.

I had 215/60R 14's on 6" rims on the front of my dart with plenty of clearence. I hope this helps.

your rims width is more the problem. Stocker 7" wide is the most you'll ever get in there comfortably IMHO. 215s should fit on a 6" wide fine.
