Can I use an MSD Blaster coil with a Chrome Mopar ECU box?

I have a new MSD Blaster coil and am currently using the chrome Mopar ECU box with an Accell coil on a small block 360. I want to switch coils but a couple people told me I need to use an MSD ECU box with their coils because MSD products don't play nice with anything but other MSD products. Anyone know if this is true? Thanks in advance...

I used a Blaster 2 for about seven years now. With no problems.

I run the Blaster coil with the Mopar ECU, no problems here.
