Can't fish turn signal harness

New harness has the contact pins that will push into the plug and because of them I can not fish them in to start it through. Even if I do get it started do I need to loosen the steering colum bracket down below because that seems awefully tight where the harness would come out?

I spent 3 hours on this last night and even pissed the wife off. I can get the old harness with their cut ends to fish through. I am about to just use that and splice the new harness in on both ends (using the old harness in the middle).

I hate when stupid stuff starts making trouble.

I figured it out. The hose clamp holding the tach had covered up the screws that attach the plate under the column. After removing that and the lower steering column support bracket it was a peice of cake.
