Hi all.. just a week into our BC vacation, and we headed to the island to visit relations in Courtenay. On the way to the local Boston Pizza, I spot all these musclecars at the local A&W, and a bunch in the mall lot across the street. I spoke to a couple coming out of the restaurant and they told me of a show in the next town - Cumberland tomorrow. I convinced my wife I have to go, so if I see any A-bodies there, I'll see if it's one of ya.

BTW, we rented our car in Calgary, cause I love mountain driving. I told them I wanted a 300 if they had, and the fellow says he has one left. He pulls out the damage sheet, then puts it back telling me it won't have any damage since ITS BRAND NEW! We head to the lot, and the first thing I see is the HEMI badges! Needless to say, 2000km later, with a fresh HEMI in that puppy, on the windiest highways we could take, all I can say is I'M IN LOVE! This thing handles like a slot car, passes anything anytime anywhere, and can put you back in the seat quite nicely thank you!

Only seen a couple of things to interest you. First pic is off of Highway 3 somewhere near Osoyoos (I took the road to get a shot of some falls or something) and saw this guy's yard. 2nd pic is closeup of the 2 Valiants there.
3rd pic is exiting Shannon Falls on way to Whistler. My wife wasn't as quick as I wanted, but it looked and sounded like a factory 340 Swinger.
Last pic is the 300C with 36km on it just outside Calgary airport.

Hey Grant
If you think the 300 was cool, try a Charger with that Hemi:-D:toothy10::-D:toothy10::toothy10::-D:toothy10:

How has the vacation been doing you?
People say I need one.
Hope you and yours are haveing a good one.

LOL! I wish it was a Charger too, but my better half was "impressed" with the passing prowess of the Hemi. Took her back with over 4200km on it, so got a good chance to break 'er in "incorrectly".

Here's some Moporn from that show. Met a few people and had a good chat with em all.

And last but not least. I had to post the old Ford at the request of my daughter. She told me it was a "princess" car lol.

Great pictures! Looks like there was a decent turnout considering the weather wasn't a 10.

I saw that Challenger with the 06 colour and paint scheme last weekend at the Parksville show, about an hour from Courtenay. The colour really suits that car and it sure is straight! Hope you enjoyed your visit to our charming little island! :toothy10:

Yes, I certainly did enjoy my time there.. Actually the weather was good that day, although the sky wasn't blue lol. Not sure later in day as we headed across to Tofino. I agree that that Burnt Orange was spectacular. And some guys mentioned the Parksville show, but I couldn't convince the wife to let me turn back from the Okanagan and attend. I told her we could make it, she said "not so much".

Too bad, maybe next time, there's something like 700 - 1000 cars at the Parksville show and the weather was good for a change, we've had a farily crappy summer in that regard.
