Carb advice

Nigel, fetch my fainting couch, for i seem to have over carburettored myself!

We will see. It may be the biggest pig that ever pigged. Before I settled on a Venturi size I did quite a bit of math. I suck at math so refer to the above, but if somehow my scientific notation calculator didnt hose me I should be pooping in tall cotton.

meh. just wire the 2ndaries shut and you'll be in like flynn.

Been down that exact road. Drag race tested. 600 eddy, 600 QFT vac and 650 avs2 on a 360. No mistake being made here.
Yup. You didn't know how to tune. Mistake. Remember. Chrysler slammed 800 (That's EIGHT HUNDRED) CFM Thermoquads on millions (Read that again, MILLIONS) of STONE STOCK 318s right from the factory. The AVS is a VERY similar carburetor having a secondary air regulator door. If someone can't tune a 650 AVS to run very well on a 318, there's something wrong and it AIN'T with the carburetor.

Yeah, I was thinking about that the in the back of my mind during my responses. Dude is just clueless. We're not gonna get through.
I mean, he's not wrong that the 600 would serve it fine, but a 650 certainly isn't too much. I've actually run 750 double pumpers on 318's that I drove every day. Ran perfect

Better method then you have correct? Whats your reasoning? Somebody said?

no. because my position comes from the use of a clayton water brake dyno on dual rollers backed up by hours of testing on a froude engine unit and then extensive road testing.

so what are your bona fides? where are you receipts?

It a street car too hence why you need vac secondaries.

an AVS 2 essentially has vacuum secondaries. it's literally in.the.name.

Air Valve Secondary

further more, the AVS has annular flow primary boosters. these are a welcome addition because an annular booster is known to improve fuel atomization and enhances fuel metering off idle and into the main circuit which is important for drivability at low speeds, such as in traffic.

i eagerly await your response as to what your methods and reasoning are and why i'm wrong.
