carb leaking gas

i have a slant 6 that has a 1 barrel carb, it is leaking gas when it is running and seems to be coming out of the throttle shaft? is that possible ? can i rebuild it or will i need to look for a different carb? any help much appreciated thanks.

The throttle butterfly shaft bore is worn out.
The only real way to fix it is to have bushings put in or replaced, and sometimes it's easier and cheaper to find another carb.
Rebuild kits do not address that issue.

I got a Holley R-9687 model 1945 came off a 1981 or 82 , 225 cu.in. auto has been sitting a while so it would need a rebuild $45.00 plus shipping $15.00
