Hey need to see if any of you have carb parts laying around. I believe it's the cam for the high idle but I'm mostly a 4 barrel guy so I'm not totally sure. I've got a couple of pictures and maybe one of you guys could shine some light on this missing piece.
That is a Carter BBS carburetor. It is indeed missing its fast-idle cam and the special big-headed screw needed to hold the cam in place and provide a stop for the hot idle speed screw. Someone here or over on slantsix.org probably has the parts for you (I might, kicking around in my toolbox, but I'm away on work for the next few days).
Also, your choke thermostat/pushrod are goobered and bent all to hell. Pick up a № 1231 Electric choke kit and install it.

I had installed the choke kit (by Dan's recommendation), it's a nice upgrade that works flawlessly. Being a 4bbl guy, you might recognize the temp sender box as a current Holley part. Solid system.
