carb refinishing

Hi, all. I have a holley carb that is in pretty good shape, but I want to refinish the outside of it. What do you recomend? Is there a paint thats relatively impervious to gas? I know I can have a carb company dicromate the thing, but I'm trying to save money. Thanks for any replies.

Eastwood sells a paint kit to do the zinc chromate look but I don't know how impervious it is to gas. That's the cheapest thing you can do other than sending it to Holley or buying a zinc chromate kit from Caswell plating.
