Carb spacer

Has anyone used a carb spacer on a rpm air gap with success? I know they dont work as good with single planes but what about mine?

I have heared the air gap likes a 1in open spacer.

The norm is a tapered 4 hole for a single plane intake & an open spacer for the Dual plane.

I run an open spacer on a single plane victor and it seems ok but i dont think i really need it just had it laying around the shop and put it on so its probably coming off this weekend didnt really notice to much of a diffrence with it on there as apposed to off but probably because it doesn need to be there with the intake setup that i am running!

E3 Sparkplugs? thats the only thing everyone around me uses. I have yet to try them

I've always hear just old type plugs work the best with carb engines.
