i have a proform 650 with vacumm secondarys it has a high pitch whistle when i floor it. not there under gradual acceleration.very loud only lasts for a split second. any idea's?

Vacuum leak either at the base or cracked vacuum hose/vacuum cap.
On another note, an engine I had built years ago (like over twenty years) had over 20" of vacuum at idle. I was running a Holley 750 with edelbrock triangular foam air cleaner and it would whistle at idle. A lot of people used to ask if I had a blower on it, lol. It had no vacuum leaks whatsoever. I switched the air cleaner out to 14" round 3" tall paper element and the whistle stopped.
