carbon fiber small block valve covers

im making c/f valve covers for my scamp and i thought i'd share. in the future i will be making body panels and bumpers to shed some pounds. this is just for fun though.

here are some pictures of the mold making process...

the original part was cleaned up, waxed, coated with mold release and fixed to my workstation with clay.

im not sure if i'll have any interesting updates this week as im slammed with work. i need to add a few more layers of glass and do some finish polishing on that mold, but i'll make sure to take pics along the way!
