Cat Pics

-
I've got to get in on the kitty pics action. The butterscotch and white is our 15 year old Chloe. The black one is Igor that we took in as a stray a year ago. Chloe is a lover and Igor is an evil little guy that doesn't care for much contact unless it's his teeth/claws on you. :)

This is probably my last cat, he and I are seeing who outlast the other. He’s been around for about ten years and been given a few different names by the kids but the only thing he responds to is kitty. It’s weird he can be going out of the room and all I need to do is say kitty one time and he turns around and comes back to me. I got him from the local shelter on December 3rd 2015 and I didn’t know it until I actually signed the papers but he was a sponsored adoption so he was free. He has a defect in his back and it makes him walk and run a little different so one of his quirks can be hilarious. He gets the zoomies for five minutes or so after taking a dump. I have a large old house with two stairways one in the kitchen and one large oak staircase in the foyer so he runs through the house up and down the stairs crashing into everything because his back him out of control, just going like a bat out of hell. He’s been doing this every night between 10 and 11 pm since the first week he came here and will do it tonight.

He's cute. Most ALL cats have running fits after the bathroom. It's an instinctive move. They think they are covering their tracks to and from their designated area so their prey won't be able to lay in wait for them.

I’ve had twenty + cats over the years and not seen one do anything close to the crazy behavior he has. I’ve had two cats chasing each other around after lights out but not one just running to run.

Some do it more than others and some don't so it at all. Cats is cats. lol

Abra (pictured above in black and white) in an "over scratcher".
She will scratch and scratch and scratch, even well after the "business" has been covered.
Some times we have to call her name to get her to stop.

We do have others (Missy, I'm lookin' at YOU) who don't even bother to lift one paw to cover.

My 20 year old cat Abby has always run like hell after crappen in the litter box, if I walk in the bathroom after her, I know why it's In- STINK- tive!

you should see one with a handle of a plastic bag around her neck, trying to run faster and faster to get away from the monster that is chasing her. ask my wife :)

Kitty and I adopted a friend's son's cat today. His son was not told that the new apartment he moved into does not allow animals. He saved him from the local animal shelter on the day before he was scheduled to be euthanized. He is a HUGE grey striped tabby. His name is Briar. He's been here all day now and there's been no trouble. Meet Briar. #11.

Well so far, Briar is the easiest cat we've ever tried to acclimate. He's just making himself right at home. I think the fact that he is SO much bigger than all the rest is giving him a "Peace through strength". lol That and the fact that he is just super laid back. I don't think he will ever start something.
