Hello all, I just put a four speed and a 340 in my Dart. The 340 has a deep oil pan on it, and now the center link won't fit. i also had the steering linkage out of the car as I was also putting in new bushings. Now I'm in the process of re-installing and the deep oil pan is too low for the center link to work. Any suggestions? Thanks Friscowilly

if the center link os flat, its origonnaly from a slant 6 car. the v-8 cars had a drop in them.

also, i found that by using a 76 dart 360 center link, pitman arm, and idler, that i had more clearance to my kevco pan than with the 70 versions.

also, make sure that youre motor mounts are in properly and are not shot.

how much clearance you lack?

That ONLY applies to 66 and earlier A-bodies.

67-72 and 73-76 A-body centerlinks are the same form /6 to V8
