Does anybody know who, if anyone, sells a ceramic front brake pad for '73 up A bodies? All I can seem to find is Semi-Metallic:pukeleft: pads. I'd use organic pads if available as another option.

Bendix makes the D84 CQ CERAMIC PAD

That's what I've got on my '74.

if you call around to the parts stores, they'll tell you there is no Ceramic pad available for a 73+ A-Body. I searched around and found those D84 CQ's on Amazon (with free shipping) for a cheaper price than the regular 'economy grade' Semi-Metallics at the local part stores.

Just got a set of Bendix ceramic pads. The new part number is RD84. They claim them to be "global ceramic". The blue box says ceramic all over it. 26 bucks.

Wonder if they make a ceramic brake shoe, in a 11 x 2.5" rear drum.

If you don't like semi-metallics but are hesitatant about ceramics when cold, I recommend Performance Friction Carbon Metallic brake pads. In my experience, they require more leg than organics or semi-metallics, but they are more resistant to fade than either. Real world wear and durability is excellent on my street car.

There isn't one. They don't offer a pad for the '73-up A/F/M/J-body disc brakes.
No love for the A bodies I see, Oh well, ceramic is the way I go. Now if only they make a ceramic rear shoe, I'd be in business.

Lol,nice price! Now if I tryed to buy that same part from the local Lordco jobber store, list price will be $126 and $90 will be and I quote"the best we can do".

Thats why I cross border shop!

:eek:ops:
Sorry for the lack of love these days for the A-body from Performance Friction. I do have a set of these on the Demon that I bought about 4 years ago. I'm not putting enough miles on them these days to wear them out.

EBC brakes, apparently makes pads for the 1979 Cordoba (part # DP3678C Red stuff pads switch Summit sell for 103.55 http://www.summitracing.com/parts/EBC-DP3678C/ and amazon sells for 98.10 [ame="http://www.amazon.com/EBC-DP3678C-Redstuff-Chrysler-Cordoba/dp/B007RNT5OU/ref=sr_1_1?s=automotive&ie=UTF8&qid=1334187208&sr=1-1"]Amazon.com: EBC DP3678C Redstuff Front Brake Pads Chrysler Cordoba 75-79: Automotive[/ame] ) which we all know that the Cordoba uses the same caliper as the 76 Dusters.
So, anybody ever use EBC brake pad before?

I have the EBC reds on the front with a Viper caliper conversion, they take a while to break in but they are very good pads.
On the back I have a b-body rear with 11x2.5" drums running shoes from these guys...
