Here is a second one on the same car and driver.

both from Pomona finals last November.

Great car and driver. He just won a division race at Vegas in super stock, and got to last 4 cars in stock.

Ouch! We will remember that race for a Long Time!

Congrats to Steve Wann and Chad Loge who are both our friends
for 30+ years!

Our new Aluminum Head 340 is ready to put in Jon's Demon
and made 30 some more Horsepower on the Dyno.

@GTX JOHN is there any truth to the idea that bigger wheelies take away ET from a drag car, and having a smaller wheelie is better for the ET?

I believe that a foot of wheel or little more does not make
any significant difference.

However, when we have looked at video and the timeslips
from heads up races over the last 30 years = a giant 3 or 4 high
foot wheelie clearly slows the car down especially in a headwind.

Sometimes on a heads up race with everything on Kill we get them a
bit higher than I would prefer and sometimes get the 60 ft on the back
wheels. The wheelie in the video was about the max height and distance
that we like to do.

But the giant wheelies are sure fun.
However, if I eat Chinese food after 7 PM = I go
home and dream about when I did a wheelie / broke
and axle and destroyed the Tree about 10 years ago at
the Winternationals!

Great Pic!!

Jon won this Semifinal Race against our friend
4 Speed Johnny in the big $10,000 to win Stock/SS race

Johnny cut the best light of the entire
program .001 Jon drove a fantastic finish line pushing
Johnny under his dial in despite Jon being in very serious
trouble with a so-so >.05 light. Jon's 340 runs a bunch
more MPH than the 383 and Jon knew the right spot
to dump the finish about 1250 ft!

That was a fun run to watch…. met 4sJ in my SoDak days when we attended the same tech school :)
