does anyone here have average chamber cc of early and late 273 on hand?

340/360 would be handy as well if not too much trouble

Is there a tell tale mark on the la heads to ue as a reference to find how much has allready been decked off them in the past?

thanks in advance,

I personally CC'd the stock heads off a mid 1970's Australian 318 engine and they came up at 66.5 CC

The 318 heads had NEVER been removed from the engine before.

I also did my 915 J's with 1.88 valves and after i put 2.02 valves in them

70cc with 1.88" and 66.5cc with 2.02"

The J heads had been surface ground slightly. so numbers may vary.

If you have the heads removed it's very easy to measure the chambers.

I find that when it comes to combustion chamber and deck height volume, the only way to get an accurate information is to measure it yourself.

because 99% of the time sources like the internet, books and even reputable mopar engine builders will mislead you unintentionally.

Plus, it's easy and fun to find out for yourself! \\:D/
