charcoal canister question

since I'm not running any emissions on my car, I'm just using it vent. can I plug anything on the canister ?

If you've still got it under the hood, I'd say hook it all up correctly. Cost you nothing other than the 1lb it probably weighs.

I just put a new engine in. with no emission controls

If you still have your fuel tank vent running to the canister then I would at least connect manifold vacuum to the canister. If your venting the tank to atmosphere then you don't need the canister. The connections on the canister are labeled.
